As the school day winds down, the Lanham Christian School soccer field is gearing up for something special. it’s Senior Night at Lanham Christian School. No frills, just faith, soccer, and the mixed feelings of bidding farewell. We’re here to give you the lowdown on the Fantastic Four – our senior soccer stars – and the atmosphere they brought to the pitch. Get set to hear the genuine stories and heartfelt moments of Senior Night, where four seniors shared their soccer journeys, making the Lanham Lions’ field the place to be.

Daniel Musa

Daniel Musa, a senior co-captain of the Lanham Lions, kicked off the interviews by sharing his soccer journey, inspired by the legendary Cristiano Ronaldo. Daniel's dedication extends beyond the field, as he assists his teammates both on and off the pitch. With college soccer in his future, he emphasizes the importance of time management and cherishing moments of laughter with teammates like Vincent Butler. Daniel's story sets the stage for an evening filled with appreciation for the sport and camaraderie. "It's not just about the game for Daniel; it's about the bonds formed on and off the field."

Comfort Sawyer

As the Senior Night festivities unfold, Comfort Sawyer, the co-captain of the soccer team, takes a moment to reflect on her journey. Having made a significant impact with her positive attitude and leadership, Comfort attributes her love for soccer to her parents' suggestion during her childhood. In her last year of high school soccer, Comfort looks ahead to playing in college, possibly even professionally. She imparts words of wisdom to future players, encouraging them not to be discouraged, manage their time effectively, and always strive for improvement. Comfort's dedication to the sport is evident, and her go-to post-practice meal? "Rice all the time."

Akin Omotosho

Akin Omotosho, a senior loyal to the team since his sophomore year, shares a unique motivation: supporting his younger brother Bolaji. While not planning to play soccer in college, Akin intends to stay connected to the sport and offer support to the team. His advice to future players reflects a commitment to sportsmanship and kindness. Akin's reflections on team bonding moments and his role as a representation of Christ provide a glimpse into the heart of Lanham Christian soccer.

Dakari Wilson

Dakari Wilson, a speedster on the field, emphasizes the impact he brings to the team with confidence, energy, and a positive mindset. As a senior, Dakari treasures the memory of scoring their first goal, a testament to the hard work and dedication invested throughout the season. Dakari's vibrant spirit and commitment to excellence showcase the dynamic energy that defines the Lanham Lions on and off the field.

As the final whistle blows on Senior Night for our Lanham Christian School coed soccer team, the echoes of dedication, camaraderie, and passion fill our small corner of the world. Each senior has left an unforgettable mark on our tight-knit team, creating memories that will stick with us forever. Despite the challenges we faced this season, our bonds have only grown stronger.
