Teaching Humility Through Theater: Lanham Christian School’s Third Graders Attend ‘Anansi the Spider’ at Bowie’s Arts on Stage

Recently, the third graders of Lanham Christian School had the opportunity to attend Arts on Stage to see the play ‘Anansi the Spider.’ This play was particularly special because two of our very own students participated in it. It was an excellent way to teach the students about the importance of humility, especially as it is a value that can be difficult to teach in the classroom. By watching Anansi’s story unfold on stage, the children were able to understand the consequences of arrogance and the benefits of being humble. It was truly an unforgettable experience that the students will remember for a long time.
