"Bidding Farewell and Looking Forward: Reflections on Lanham Christian School's Unforgettable Senior Chapel and Celebrations"
The Banquet and finals (boooo) are around the corner for the high schoolers, but not the seniors :). For all of their hard work with their school work and their college applications, the seniors were allowed to leave school at an earlier date than the rest of the students of Lanham Christian School. Wednesday, May 3 was the seniors’ last chapel and it was a final chapel to remember.
Following this sermon, the seniors stood in front of the middle school and high school students and one by one announced the colleges they were accepted to, the college they are attending, and what they were planning on studying. The chapel service was concluded with a word of prayer from Mrs. Beltre to bless the seniors in their future endeavors. The day was followed by festivities held by the teachers along with yearbook signings by administrators and teachers.
As the seniors ate their Panda Express, which was catered by a senior’s parent, and Crumble Cookie, they reflected on their senior year, as well as their years prior. From playing on sports teams to online school during our freshman and sophomore years, they were still counted as good memories in our books.
On behalf of the senior class, we would like to thank everyone, from the students, teachers, and faculties, for supporting us during our senior year. We enjoyed every moment of this year, and we are ready and well-prepared to move on to the next stage of our lives with the skills that Lanham Christian School has instilled in us.
Signing off for the last time,
Class of 2023 Valedictorian
